I. The need to believe that life is meaningful
and has a purpose

• Our lives need to be connected to a meaningful
  purpose beyond pleasure, power, or possessions
• Ecl. 1213
• There is a God-sized hole in each of us
• Augustine Our hearts are restless until they
  find their rest in Thee.

II. The need for a sense of community and deeper
relationships

• We yearn to know others and to be known by others
• The one in spirit of David and Jonathan
• Romans 1215 - rejoice with those who rejoice,
  and mourn with those who mourn

• We must matter to someone In order to matter
