• Obtain bachelors degree and one year of masters
  (or equivalent program) at home university (60
  ECTS of finished courses at the masters level)

• The departments of Mathematics and Computer
  Science offer grants of 5000 lump sum for a
  number of masters programs

Partial financial picture

• Renting a single, completely furnished room at
  the VU Hospitium 230 / month (rent from
  Sept.-July)
• Tuition fee 1519 / year
• (Insurance 30 / month)
• Total of fixed costs 11 230 1519 4049

Grant of 5000 does not cover the costs
completely

Procedure of application 2006-2007

• submit application form giving information on
  courses taken at home university and program you
  wish to follow at the VU before April 1, 2006
• committee of exams and committee of international
  affairs will determine whether you meet entrance
  requirements in master program and whether
  faculty will allow a grant of 5000
• notification on outcome is given before May 1
• VU secretaries will try to arrange housing and
  help with formalities
