REVIEW OF PROJECTS APPROVED SINCE 1958
  • The World Bank supported 57 projects in since
    1958
  • Many of these projects were located outside
    Darfur irrigation, general agriculture, and
    infrastructure,
  • Reviewed 13 rural development projects with
    components located in Darfur and Kordofan
  • Also reviewed the three education projects which
    covered all of Sudan
  • Other projects located in Darfur and Kordofan
    were railway and road projects lessons very
    generic not reviewed in detail
  • Obviously many projects financed by other donors
    e.g. Jebel Marra rural development (UK) started
    in 1958
  • Have also arranged for a review of rural
    development projects by Dr. Babo Fadlalla
