Motivation for the experiments

• Is the distillation of PC in many cycles
  effective ?
• Can we get the desired reduction rate in the
  distillation of PC in many cycles ?
• We tried to distill PC in 2 and 3 cycles.

Experimental procedure
(1), Discarding the sample for 5 min after the
distillation starts.
(2), we distilled PC in many cycles. (2 3
cycles) we did process (1), in each cycle.

Summary

• We can obtain good reduction rate of PC of 2nd
  trial.
• Because of the low radioactivity of reference
  sample, we could not get the reduction rate of
  3rd trial exactly.
• From the results, we can achieve the desired
  reduction rate with the distillation in many
  cycles.

Future plan

• We will distill MOPC again.
• We confirm that we can get the desired reduction
  rate when distill MOPC.
• We search the more effective parameters or
  conditions that can be used in the actual
  apparatus.
