  • Tell it in as many ways
  • and in as many forms

6
Branding
  • Branding and corporate identity

  • Does your church need a facelift?

7
The logo
8
Two parts
  • The signature (or entire logo) is composed of
    two parts
  • Logotype the words Seventh-day Adventist
    Church
  • Graphic Symbol
  • The symbol and the words must
  • always be used together.

9
Not just about the logo
  • Branding is not simply about placing the logo
    everywhere
  • Perception is reality
  • Customer expectations for the organisation behind
    the brand

10
Perceived quality
  • a measure of brand goodness
  • Perceived quality is at the heart of what
customers are buying, and in that sense, it is a
bottom-line measure of the impact of brand
identity Achieving perceptions of quality is
usually impossible unless the quality claim has
    substance.
  • a company may be achieving quality on a
dimension that consumers do not consider
    important.

11
Brand recognition
  • exposure (familiar brands have the edge) recall
  • when consumers see a brand and remember that
they have seen it before (perhaps even several
times), they realise that the company is spending
money to support the brand. Since it is
recognised that companies will not spend money on
bad products, consumers take their recognition as
a signal that the brand is good.

12
The building
  • Just as humans send a message even when they are
silent, a church sends a message just by its very
    presence in a neighbourhood.
