Objectives

• Ensure the effective contribution of AID
  Columbia to the overall development of India
• Create a tangible presence in Columbia and an
  awareness of the activities of AID
• Generate ideas and support organizations which
  implement these ideas in India.

Activities

• Around 8 volunteers in a couple of months
• Organized Dr Raos talk in Columbia
• Attended local events

Office-bearers duties

• President
• Exchange of information (intra- and
  inter-chapter)
• Overall project coordination within the chapter
• Maintain awareness among students and the
  community
• Maintain good relations with faculty advisor and
  University personnel
• Vice-President
• Maintain database of people interested in AID
  AID Columbia activities
• Keep track of members activities
• Streamline AID Columbia by encouraging ideas and
  participation
• Prepare monthly report on chapter activities

• Send agenda and minutes
• Liaise with the other office-bearers to
  streamline functioning
• Moderate discussions
• Treasurer
• Maintain account of incomes expenses
• Clear outstanding bills
• Suggest measures for fund raising
• Keep chapter informed about financial status

Future plans

• Coordinate with other chapters in NC and SC to
  form AID-Carolina!
• Raise money through potluck dinners and fund
  raisers
• Combine work with fun through get-togethers
  involving AID volunteers
