How Does It Work?
  • Training is provided via a mixture of
  • Initial training to gain basic qualifications

  • Assessor visiting learner in-company

What Are The Entry Requirements?
  • ATG Training does not rely on GCSE, A Level or
    GNVQ results.
  • ATG Training run our own initial assessments to
    ensure learners start at the right level and the
    programme is suitable for them.
  • Initial assessments are completed either in
    company or at our training facilities.

Student Support
  • Financial support is given to all learners
    through reimbursed travel expenses, financial
    workshops, EMA and weekly pay.
  • Travel is also provided free of charge from
    learners based in Milton Keynes and High Wycombe.
  • Workshops are also available for health awareness
    for sexual health and drink and drug awareness.

When Can Learners Start?
  • Regular enrolments for initial training at ATG
    Training throughout the year assessment sessions
    run at least once a month.
  • In company apprenticeship programmes can start at
    any time of year.

How Much Does It Cost?
  • Absolutely no financial cost to them the
    government fully funds apprenticeships for
    under-25s and part funds for over-25s.
  • There is a time cost to learners and their
    employer assessment takes place on-the-job and
    there may be day-release required.

What Qualifications can learners get?

In Centre Apprenticeships
  • NVQ Level 2
  • Level 2 Technical Certificate (not for Childcare
    or ICT)
  • Key Skills, at least to Level 1, in Application
    of Number and Communication (equivalent to D-G
    grades in Maths and English GCSEs), IT is also
    required for the Engineering Electrical
    programmes
  • ERR

Work Based Apprenticeships
  • NVQ Level 3
  • Level 3 Technical Certificate
  • Key skills at Level 2 in Application of Number
    and Communication(equivalent to A-C grades in
    Maths and English GCSEs), IT is also required for
