Title: SCARF SURVEY

1
  • SCARF SURVEY

2
Starting Point
  • Allowing Residents of the Fullarton area to have
their say in what goes on in their community.
  • Asking partners what information they would like
    from the survey.
  • Drafting survey
  • Recruiting Local Volunteers

3
Aims
  • To determine the communities needs, issues and
    aspirations within services, facilities and
    opportunities

4
Community Participation
  • We believe will enhance and increase as a result
of this project because the main thrust of the
social action research is to enable the community
    to determine future provision.
  • The greater community ownership will directly
affect participation whilst fostering an enhanced
    community spirit
  • The realization of service providers responding
to expressed needs issues and aspirations will
act as catalyst to further meaningful community
    engagement.

5
Objectives
  • To utilise a variety of medium to engage the
    wider communities inclusive of individuals,
community groups, voluntary groups and key
agencies within Irvine West in the research.
  • To ensure ownership of the process and products
of the research within the voluntary management
    committee and voluntary researchers

6
Objectives
  • To produce a useable document that will assist us
to inform the Community Planning Partnership and
the thematic groups of outcomes of the research
  • Disseminate the findings to inform the wider
    communities of the outcomes.
  • To establish a mechanism that will inform
opinions for Healthcare and Community facilities.
  • Identify and establish new trends/future markets
  • Justify projected outputs for future
    funders/developments

achieve to put into place the activities that
    they have requested (within reason)

Learning Points

    into account
  • Support for volunteers is very important and also
    time consuming
