What is a hurricane to happen?

• Hurricane

are severe tropical storms that form in the
southern Atlantic Ocean, Caribbean Sea, Gulf of
Mexico, and in the eastern Pacific Ocean.
Hurricanes gather heat and energy through contact
with warm ocean waters. Evaporation from the
seawater increases their power.

• Hurricanes are born in the tropics for a
  reasonwarm water is their fuel.
• So some researchers are looking into whether a
  warmer Earth could bring stronger tropical storms
  with higher winds and more destruction.
