• Motivation
• Future trends within healthcare predict that
  diagnostics will become more predictive,
  therapeutic interventions will become more
  preventive and healthcare will become more
  personalised and tailored to the individual.

Objectives

• Overall goal for the project is to stimulate
  development of Nordic products based on micro
  technologies for monitoring of patients and
  assisting demanding persons at home. Other
  applications within personalized health and
  safety will also be addressed.
• Sub-objectives will be to create and develop
  business opportunities for Nordic companies and
  stimulate the take-up of new products and methods
  that address personalized health and safety.
• The objectives will be met by carrying out 7 case
  studies as the main part of the project.

Description of work

• WP 1 Innovation arenas
• This WP will create a Nordic innovation arena
  for development and implementation of new
  products and services based on MST for
  personalized health and safety applications. The
  consortium will together stimulate new business
  ideas and cooperate with actors within healthcare
  to create new projects and activities outside the
  project.Activities
• Meetings with start-ups, companies, healthcare
  actors, hospitals, etc
• Organize seminars, workshops etc with a
  cross-discipline attendance to stimulate
  innovation
• Publish articles in magazines etc. and give
  presentations at relevant conferences, seminars
  etc.

• WP 2 Case studies7 cases are identified and
  will be carried out in the project.
• The cases will identify technology solutions and
  in some case demonstrate the application. A
  non-sensitive deliverable will be made from each
  case and used as examples for other cases and
  companies and for dissemination activities.
