The Incubator of New Enterprises of Chania is a
public, non-profit organization based in Chania,
Crete, Greece.Its shareholders are

• -The Greek organization for the support of small
  and medium size enterprises (90).
• -The Commercial and Industrial chamber of Chania
  (5).
• -The Prefecture of Chania (5).

• Crete is a tourist dominated region with approx.
  3.000.000 visitors per year. Its population is
  600.000 inhabitants and apart from tourism,
  agriculture, light industry and services are the
  most important sectors of the regional economy.

• The majority of the tourists arrive by plane in
  the main airports in Heraklion, Chania and Sitia.
  The minority of them arrive by boat mainly from
  Athens (Piraeus) seaport.

The Energy economy of Crete is based in oil (
90,3) and in Renewable energy sources
(9,7).Among the RES the most important are

• Solid biomass (for heat generation)
• Solar thermal energy (for heat generation)
• Wind energy (for power generation)
• Less important are
• Photovoltaics
• Biogas from sewage treatment plants
• Small hydro

Crete is based in wind energy.
