The fall semester program starts with a one-week
orientation at the U.S./Mexican border.
Cuernavaca, a beautiful colonial city in central
Mexico, is viewed here from one of the bedrooms
in the house where students stay.

The Center for Global Educations study center,
Casa CEMAL, serves as your home base while
studying in the Mexico program.

The staff think of themselves as co-learners with
the students. Here students and staff work on the
construction of a Habitat for Humanity house.

The academic portion of the program was
challenging and essential what I learned in the
classroom I later saw on the streets. I have
never been so involved in my own education
before.

The program includes intensive Spanish language
instruction held at the Universal Center for
Language (pictured above), just down the street
from Casa CEMAL.
The classroom takes many forms.

EDUCATIONAL TRAVEL WITHIN THE SEMESTER Your
semester includes a short-term trip to El
Salvador during the fall program to Guatemala
and an indigenous region of southern Mexico in
the spring.

our neighbors around the world, we must begin by
realizing that our lives affect theirs, and that
we have a responsibility for understanding the
relationship we share.
