tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be
yours for food. 30 And to all the beasts of the
earth and all the birds of the air and all the
creatures that move on the ground everything
that has the breath of life in it I give every
green plant for food." And it was so.

36How Long Did the Work of Creation Take? When
Moses writes that God created heaven and earth
and whatever is in them in six days, then let
this period continue to have been six days, and
do not venture to devise any comment according to
which six days were one day. But, if you cannot
understand how this could have been done in six
days, then grant the Holy Spirit the honor of
being more learned than you are.

37For you are to deal with Scripture in such a way
that you bear in mind that God Himself says what
is written. But since God is speaking, it is not
fitting for you wantonly to turn His Word in the
direction you wish to go.

Q 227b
38Why dont Christian leaders believe the days in
Genesis 1 are literal 24-hour days? Why it
matters.
39James Barr, Professor of the interpretation of
the Holy Scripture, Oxford University, England,
in a letter to David C.C. Watson, 23 April 1984.
- probably, so far as I know, there is no
professor of Hebrew or Old Testament at any
world-class university who does not believe that
the writer (s) of Genesis 111 intended to convey
to their readers the ideas that - creation took place in a series of six days which
were the same as the days of 24 hours we now
experience - the figures contained in the Genesis genealogies
provided by simple addition a chronology from the
beginning of the world up to later stages in the
biblical story - Noahs flood was understood to be world-wide and
extinguish all human and animal life except for
those in the ark.
40The Creation Days
Dr. Robert Cole (Ph.D. Semitic Languages), A PhD
looks at the Genesis Days
- There is nothing in the Bible to obviate the
idea that the days in Genesis were 24 hour type
days.
41The Creation Days
Robert L. Reymond, Ph.D., A New Systematic
Theology of the Christian Faith, 1998, p. 393.
- In the hundreds of other cases in the Old
Testament where yom stands in conjunction with an
ordinal number (first, second, third, etc.), e.g.
Exodus 1215 2416 Leviticus 123, it never
means anything other than a normal, literal day.
42The Creation Days
Douglas F. Kelly (Professor of Systematic
Theology) , Creation and Change, 1997, p. 51.
- To summarize, liberal scholars of both 19th and
20th centuries admit that the text of Genesis is
clearly meant to be taken in a literal,
historical sense, although they deny its claims
to speak accurately to our space/time cosmos.

24 God that made the world and all things
therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and

Neither is worshipped with mens hands, as though

81Acts 1730-31

but now he commands all people everywhere to
repent. 31 For he has set a day when he will

88The survey also revealed that only half of all
church leaders (53) believe that there are moral
truths that are absolute. While that is more than
the one-third of non-leaders (36) who hold such
a belief, it is substantially less than might be
expected among individuals who extol the Bible as
the source of moral truth.

90Noahs Ark the Rapture
- 2 Peter 25God . . . saved Noah, one of
eight people, a preacher of righteousness,
bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly
. . . .
91The Context of 2 Peter 25
- Was Noahs Ark the flood possible?
- Why did God flood the world?
- Why did God save Noahs family?
- How does the Ark predict the Rapture?
- What should YOU do to prepare your family?
92- 2Pe 21-5 But false prophets also arose among
the people, just as there will also be false
teachers among you, who will secretly introduce
destructive heresies, even denying the Master who
bought them, bringing swift destruction upon
themselves. - Many will follow their sensuality, and because of
them the way of the truth will be maligned - and in their greed they will exploit you with
false words their judgment from long ago is not
idle, and their destruction is not asleep. - . . . . God did not spare the ancient world,
but preserved Noah, a preacher of righteousness,
with seven others, when He brought a flood upon
the world of the ungodly .
93What did the Ark look like?

98God used Noahs Ark as an example of believers
in Christ being raptured (lifted up) above
the Tribulation before it comes.
99- Dr. John MacArthur says about Matthew 2437
Jesus said As the days of Noah were, so
shall also the coming of the Son of man be." - The flood is the only event in human history
that comes close to illustrating what will happen
in the end times, for the flood destroyed
everything on earth. The attitude that prevailed
during the time of Noah will be the attitude that
prevails during the second coming. - When Noah told the people that God's judgment was
near, they didn't care. Similarly, people during
the end times will notice all the signs and
wonders going on around them, but many of them
won't consider what's happening and why. Hard to
imagine, but true.
100- 2Pe 33-6 Know this first of all, that in the
last days mockers will come with their mocking,
following after their own lusts, - and saying, "Where is the promise of His coming?
For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all
continues just as it was from the beginning of
creation. The false theory that denies the
flood. A theory called Uniformitarianism - For when they maintain this, it escapes their
notice that by the word of God the heavens
existed long ago and the earth was formed out
of water and by water, - through which the world at that time was
destroyed, being flooded with water.
101- 2Pe 37-10 But by His word the present heavens
and earth are being reserved for fire, kept for
the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly
men. - But do not let this one fact escape your
notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is
like a thousand years, and a thousand years like
one day. This simply says God transcends time. - The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some
count slowness, but is patient toward you, not
wishing for any to perish but for all to come to
repentance. - But the day of the Lord will come like a thief,
in which the heavens will pass away with a roar
and the elements will be destroyed with intense
heat, and the earth and its works will be burned
up. A Thermonuclear Explosion Big Bang
102- Dr. John MacArthur
- Those who say nothing has ever changed overlook
the flood. God wiped out the entire world--except
for eight people--in the flood (Gen. 7--8). There
is physical evidence all over the globe to
support that. Why did that flood come? Because
God "saw that the wickedness of man was great in
the earth" (Gen. 65). All things will not
continue as they have. There is coming a time of
judgment.
103- Dr. MacArthur continues . . . People will be
using their computers and charts in an attempt to
analyze the universe and explain scientifically
why everything is going haywire. They will try to
explain away the earthquakes and abnormal tide
activity. They will try to figure out why there
are abnormal changes in the heavens--why the sun
and moon aren't working as they usually do.
People will attempt to rationalize why the seas
are bitter and why people are being massacred on
an unprecedented scale. In so doing, they will
completely overlook the truth in God's Word.
104What should you do now?
- 2Pe 311-14 Since all these things are to be
destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought
you to be in holy conduct and godliness, - looking for and hastening the coming of the day
of God, because of which the heavens will be
destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt
with intense heat! - But according to His promise we are looking for
new heavens and a new earth, in which
righteousness dwells. - Therefore, beloved, since you look for these
things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace,
spotless and blameless
105Hebrews 117
- By faith Noah, being warned by God about things
not yet seen, in reverence prepared an ark for
the salvation of his household, by which he
condemned the world, and became an heir of the
righteousness which is according to faith.
