• 8 slums were randomly selected
• 334 mothers 376 preschool children were included
• Informed consent obtained

• Mothers (Hb 11.032) Preschool children (Hb
  10.174) were anemic
• There was association between Anemia Standard
  of living Index for mothers (p 0.019 )
