Grant in Aid

• Revised Criteria 6-8
• 6. Applications will normally be considered only
  if they are submitted on the official application
  form and are received by the faculty. Some
  faculties accept applications year round (e.g.
  Faculty of Law). Other faculties consideration
  applications in a round with a closing date
  (e.g., 31 March or 31 October). It is the
  applicant's responsibility to obtain approvals
  from the Principal Supervisor, the Head of
  School/Centre Director prior to the closing date.

• 7. All applications must contain a statement of
  financial commitment. Schools or Centres are
  required to certify that they will provide
  substantial faculty funding to support the
  submission. Applicants must provide an official
  written quote for travel including AUS airport
  taxes and single insurance. Around-the-world
  tickets are acceptable, if proof is provided that
  it is a cheaper option than a return economy
  airfare to the same destination.

• 8. Faculty Research Committees will meet as
  required to consider applications. Applicants
  will be notified as quickly as possible. Offers
  made to successful applicants remain valid for up
  to 9 months after the date of offer.
  Retrospective applications will not be considered
  under any circumstances.

• Preference if no previous award
• After confirmation (PhD Only)
• Not normally after final seminar only available
  to current students not to graduates or completed
  students
• 3 airfare quotes, we accept the lowest
• For study or conference only not for holidays
• You decide if you need travel insurance

Write up Scholarship

• For domestic and international QUT postgraduate
  research students who are
• ready to write up final changes to submit the
  final thesis to graduate or
• (2) have submitted a final thesis and wish to
  write a publication
