• All family members dead, getting a good deal of
  money
• After that, leading a life like a rajah in Europe
• Going to WWI, premoted to be a mayor

In the Restaurant

• Nick and Gatsby had lunch together with Mr.
  Wolfsheim.
• Not long after Mr. Wolfshein left, Nick caught
  sight of Tom. This was the first meeting of
  Gatsby and Tom.

The Story Jordan Knew

• Daisy, the most popular girl, dressed in white,
  having a white roadster, receiving telephone
  calls all day, demanded by young officers for
  date
• Th last meeting of Gatsby and Daisy, in the white
  roadster in 1917
• The next year, Daisy packed her bag to say
  goodbye to Gatsby, but prevented by her family.
  She depressed for a long time.
• By the next autumn, she was gay again, going to
  parties, married to Tom.

• On the wedding day, Daisy received a letter from
  Gatsby , drank for the first time and cried.
• But she eventully married Tom, leading a
  luxurious life around America and Europe.
• Six months ago, Daisy heard the name of Gatsby
  for the first time in years.

Our Opinion

• Although Daisy did wondered for some time to
  decide if she would wait for Gatsby, she
  eventually chose an easier and more wealthy way
  of life.
• She was a girl who prefered material wealth.

Our Opinion

• In a great degree, Jordan was a younger Daisy.
  She admired Daisy, Daisys life and even Daisys
  experience.
• She paid great attention to her wearings.
• I had shoes from England with rubber nobs
  on the soles I had on a new plaid skirt
