Observations
  • It is early in the program but we can observe
  • Better growth than the natural spat collection
    from only the first generation in hatchery
  • Mortality is low for most of the families for the
    first years
  • Seems that we can select for the traits the
    industry chose (growth, survival)

  • Verify if American oyster triploids will have a
    better growth and yield compared to diploids in
    New-Brunswick.
  • Observation
  • Mass winter mortality in both groups the first
    year.
