rate among women is 44 and women consist 51 of

9Project Borders
- Geographical Borders Banja Luka region
- Banja Luka Region is one of the seven Regions of
Republic of Srpska (one of the two entities in
BiH) - Its center is the city of Banja Luka,
approximately 280.000 inhabitants, the biggest
and capital city of the Republic of Srpska as
well as the cultural, university and industrial
centre - Total area of the region is 8 936 km2.
- As said by census of 2005, the population of the
Banja Luka Region was 709.000 inhabitants located
in 22 municipalities of the region.
10- Banja Luka region dominates in total
participation in the number of small and medium
enterprises in the Republic of Srpska. - Total number of persons employed in micro, small
and medium enterprises represent 45,5 of total
number employees in SMEs in the Republic of
Srpska
