Dell PC sets for your loan at your bed-study rooms

  • RAM256MB RAMBus Internal CDRW drive, floppy
    drive, 4Xusb ports
  • Build-in 10/100 Bit/s NIC card and sound card
  • AGP display card
  • Keyboard and mouse
  • Power cord
  • 3. Pre-configured Windows XP Professional and
    MacAfee (anti-virus software) on a single drive
    (C) with MS Office
  • 4. 15 LCD monitor
  • 5. 3-meter UTP cable
  • As a borrower of the loan PC, you must
  • install properly licensed software on your loan
    PCs
  • be fully responsible for backing up your personal
    data residing on the loan PCs especially prior to
    any hardware repair
  • not install any hardware inside the loan PC
    without prior approval from CSC.

2006/07) The fees will be used to cover the cost
for the hardware maintenance contract and
technical support.
  • Procedures
  • Apply at SRO within the application period.
  • Make the payment of loan fees and sign
    undertaking.
  • Collect your PC at the hall lobby of your hall at
    the appointment time slot you have made.
  • Return your PC in good condition upon the end of
    your loan period, or at your early departure from
    the Student Residence.

  • Services Provided
  • On-site hardware maintenance throughout the loan
    period borrowers can contact the on-site
    engineer stationed at all the Halls to schedule
    an appointment.
  • On site maintenance services will be provided
    through prior appointments and be limited to
    office hours.
  • For software problems, recovery CDs will be
  • provided to borrowers to restore the PC back
  • to the original State.
  • Your Obligations
  • The loan PC and all accessories must be used on
    site in designated students room. It must not be
    removed from your room without prior approval
    from SRO or CSC.
  • All software and security setting installed by
    the University inside the loan PC must not be
    deleted, modified, copied, relocated, removed and
    changed without prior approval from CSC.
  • The use of the loan PC must comply with the
    Universitys policies and regulations. Failure to
    do so may result in the loan PC being
    disconnected from the campus network without
    prior notice and/or the PC loan agreement being
    terminated immediately.
