Weighted Grades
  • The seventh graders will need to bring a 3-ring
    notebook (Starter Notebook), pencils, and their
    science book to class daily.
  • The grades are broken down into the different
    categories.
  • Starter Notebook 10
  • Daily Work 25
  • Tests 40
  • Quizs 15
  • Labs and Presentations 10
  • 100

Grading Scale
  • A Excellent 90-100
  • B Above Average 80-89
  • C Average 70-79
  • D Below Average 60-69
  • F Failing - lt59

Extra Credit
  • Students will receive ½ credit for corrected work
    completed before class the next school day.
  • Students can retake tests and quizzes. The
    grades will be averaged together unless student
    does worse the second time.
  • Out of class passes.

Starter Notebook
  • The Starter Notebook is to teach organization and
    to keep valuable papers that will be needed for
    tests and quizs. The notebook is not graded
    daily but periodically. It is worth 10 percent of
    their nine-week and semester grade. This is the
    easiest 10 percent of the class. All the students
    have to do is copy and keep the materials
    presented to them.
  • The Starter Notebook is broken into 5 sections.

After School
  • Work not completed - Student will stay after
    school and will receive a 0 for their grade.
  • There is an academic bus that is here on Monday
    Wednesday that leaves at 430. Thursday and
    Friday Students will have to get a ride.
  • Discipline Detentions students will make
    arrangements for a ride home that night.
