• At 1000 pm Paul Revere was sent by Dr. Joseph
  Warren to Lexington Mass. To warn Samuel Adams
  and John Hancock that British troops were
  marching in to arrest Adams and Hancock.

• First, Revere rowed across the Charles River to
  Charles Town.
• He borrowed a horse from his friend Deacon Jon
  Larkin

What Happened?

• Revere was to hang one lantern in the North
  Church Tower if the British were coming by land
• Revere was to hang two lanterns if the British
  were coming by sea
