IMKB Üsküdar High School is a vocational
high school which has established itself as a
successful school both at the local community and
among the public schools in a very short time.It
was founded in 2002 with 42 students . Now it has
more than 1000 girls at 6 departments.

• We believe that children learn their values and
  attitudes from a wide range of sources. The most
  important of these is the home but the school has
  a vital part to play , so we aim
• To develop a clear understanding of right and
  wrong.
• To encourage students to develop responsibility
  and a positive sense of their own worth based on
  honesty , reliabity and self discipline.
• To provide a broad , balanced cirriculum which
  studentes find stimulating and enjoyable , and
  which provides them with skills , knowledge and
  understanding relevant to their current and
  future needs.
• To promote the spiritual, moral, social,
  cultural, intellectual and physical development
  of all students.
• To develop in each student the confidence to
  face the challenges and responsibilities of adult
  life.

We believe that learning takes place both inside
and outside the school and that learning is a
life-long process, so we aim to encourage
students students to play a full part in the
school and in the community. We maintain a
pleasant, healthy and safe-working environment.
So we have close links with the local industry
and business companies. There are 6 departments
in the school which are acquired gainful and
valid occupations to the students.

Computer Techology

• This department builds upon skills to the
  computer technology and industrial needs of the
  21st century.
• It is intented to give the students the
  opportunity to
• Develop their skills,knowledge and
  understanding of computer technology.
• Gain confidence to design,make and learn
  programmes and environments.
• Use computer information technology and
  computer control.
• There are three computer laboratories in
  the school and students will be expected to
  design and control industrial programmes.

Graphic, Design and Technology

• This department enables students to develop
  their knowledge, skills and understanding
  focusing on a graphic product , based on a
  design and make approach.
• The subject content will provide pupils
  the opportunities to develop their capabilities
  through
• Helping students to develop their practical
  skills and their confidence to design.
• Encouraging students to combine their
  designing and making skills with knowledge and
  understanding.
• Encouraging the development of students
  critical and aesthetic skills.
• Promoting an awareness of the effects and
  implications of a technological activity.
• Students are given the opportunity to
  enhance their abilities through focused tasks,
  media of graphics, via-drawing systems (both
  freehand and technical) , dimensional models and
  product evaluation.
• They will be expected to design and make a
  high quality graphic product.

Food Technology and Serving
This department gives students to develop
an awareness of nature and significant importance
of design and serving in a rapidly-changing
society. It enables students to develop
their knowledge , skills and understanding of a
Food Technology focus within an overall design
and make based approach. The syllabus
covers such areas as recognising needs, drawing
up specifications , generating design solutions,
planning products to ensure health , using of
processes, tools, and equipments and serving
knowledge. Students will be expected to
prepare and serve food, ad their training will
help their transition from school to adult life,
to their worklife.

TextilesReady- made Clothing
Textiles design and application is
multi-faceted. By choosing this option students
will have the opportunity to investigate how and
why textile products are made. A wide variety of
process skills and equipments will be experienced
to enable students to use this knowledge in the
development of their own products. The
department encourages students to combine their
design and making skills with knowledge and
understanding in order to design and make a
quality product.

Hairdressing and Skincare
In modern society designing and making
functional and aesthetic beauty is becoming
increasingly important.This department offers
students a chance to gain the knowledge and
skills necessary to work in modern life by
focusing on human beauty and health. The
subject should enable students to use their
designing and communication skills and combine
them with the application of knowledge and
understanding to design hair and to care
skin.They will also select strategies and use
materials,tools and equipment appropriate.
They have a wide practice chance both at
schools hairdresser and beauty center and at
local workshops.

Pre-school and Early Years Care and Education
In the educational side of childcare,this
department will help students to learn all about
working with children as a nursery
assistant,pre-school assistant or creche
assistant. Working with children can be
extremely rewarding and fascinating.Early and
pre-school education is the crucial part of a
childs development and helps children to learn
as they play.A good quality pre-school experience
builds on the valuable learning that takes place
in and around the school and develops the
learning and essential skills which children rely
on in later life.So childcare is crucial.
This department encourages students to develop
skills,knowledge and understanding of childcare
facilities.At the pre-school,students are given
the opportunity to develop their practice of
knowledge,skills and understanding of Pre-school
Education and Childcare.

The Applied Nursery school
Üsküdar IMKB nursery school which has 98
children was built on the school land for the
benefit of childcare department students
training and local community. Early year and
pre-school education is crucial part of a childs
development. Here in we aim to promote the
spritual, moral, social, cultural, intellectual
and physical developments of 3-6 years old
children. There are sports activities like
swimming,riding,athleticism and facilities like
computer and english lessons to support their
growing and health.
