PRO (things that ease) 1. There are a huge will
and desire to develop ones company- genuine
and real will there are a lot of innovation
too- probelms usually consist of similar type of
challenges 2. Gorvenments and Public attitude
positive and supportive- Changes in Taxation,
Legislation, Generation Changes supp.-
Programmes for Enterprise Activities,
Entrepreneurship Education and Upbringing 3.
There are Real Challenges for entrepreneurs to
conquer- The Age Profile of Entrepreneurship
about 50-60 000 companies have to change
owners/generation- networking, making business
in network- internationalization
21The Elements of Successful Developing of SMEs
CHALLENGES 1. Companies are rather small (over
80 less than 5 pers. app. 45 are making
business alone ) - no time to develop- no time
to search developing possibilities or
services 2. SMEs are not familiar with
developing or using Developing Services- lack
of knowledge in finanzing, developing
possibilities, etc.- lack of skills to find out
developing possibilities 3. The Age and
Education Profile of Entrepreneurs- they are
not used to use others help and developing
services- their image of consultancy is very
oldfashioned
22The Elements of Successful Developing of SMEs
- HOW TO REACT TO CHALLENGES - CONCLUSIONS
- Make available Information of developing
possibilities - public, organis. and
educat./devel. services own channelsgt we need
many simultaneuosly ways to inform entrepreneurs! - 2. Actual Information near Entreprneurs every day
life- personal contacts to ease to desidegt we
have to gain entrepreneurs turst some sales
arguments solves some acute problem, is useful,
can be done by the normal work, somewhat flexible
timetable, can be devided or be done in parts,
easy to start, cheap way, .. - 3. Developing Projects have to be as near the
reality as possible and to answer just for the
actual need- productation of services, show both
clear results, benefits and risksgt what do I
get, what are costs, how to get in, how to get
more information
