  • Class I
  • This means the water is calm and smooth. Small,
    if any, rapids exist dangers can easily be
    avoided.

  • This water contains small rapids that are easily
    seen. They provide a smooth ride and low risk
    level.

  • These rapids cause boats to bounce and are
    sometimes unpredictable in direction. Risks are
    medium and training and experience aid the rider.

  • Water becomes large with strong currents in this
    class. They carry high risks and features such as
    large waves, holes, or unpredictable currents.
    High experience is needed to successfully
    navigate.

  • These rapids are found in raging rivers and can
    only be ridden by experts. Dangers and risks are
    severe due to long and high rapids and waves.
