Education /Awareness Process
  • Because the issues involved with new e-business
    processes are a totally new way of thinking, it
    takes a long time for organisations to understand
    the changes required in business processes and
    practices
  • It requires more than meetings and seminars. As
    part of the education/awareness process the OIC
    has developed an internal and external project
    process.
  • Internal projects are proposed by members as
    part of Special Interest Groups ZIGS or Special
    Application Groups ZAGS eg EAIM, Y2KRAMP, TIMS
  • External projects are provided by the OIC Tender
    Information Management Service TIMS eg DEWRSB

B - External XML Projects
  • OIC members have been researching and developing
    the Tender Information Management Service
  • TIMS since 1999. The prototype was first
    released in Jul 2000.
  • Originally developed for members and subscribers
    it is now in the process of commecialisation for
    licence
  • to other Small and Medium size Organisations
    which would like to publish their tenders
    electronically.
  • The objectives of TIMS include providing Market
    Intelligence on Tenders for members and
    subscribers.
  • This market intelligence includes
  • Each sections analysis the tenders by
  • A New Tenders published by session 1 Industry
  • B Tenders published during the week
    2 Application
  • C Current tenders by submission due date 3 Type
    of Tender
  • D Historical analysis of Tenders 4 Country/State
  • The TIMS schema is being submitted an XML
    Standards for Tender information

  • E-Tenders is one step of the E-business
    information cycle. OIC Members have developed
    this Tender Information Management Service TIMS
    as an initial module of the E-business process.
