Road signs
and
signals
Signs and signals which are in force of traffic,
their importance and validity are designated by
ORDINANCE OF MINISTRY OF TRANSPORT AND ECONOMY
AND MINISTRY OF INTERIOR AND ADMINISTRATION
Poland dated on 21 JUNE 1999.

On the road there are the following road signs
and signals
1) vertical signs in the shape of plates, boards
bearing inscriptions or symbols, which also occur
in the shape of light signals,2) horizontal
signs in the shape of lines, inscriptions or
symbols, placed on surface on a road, 3) light
signals transmitted by signalling apparatus, 4)
signals made by authorities, 5) sound signals or
vibrating signals sent by mechanisms placed on
roads.

Danger warning signs

• they warn of places on the road, where there is
  or might be danger
• they put participants of movement under
  obligation to maintain the special caution.
• The distance between a danger warning sign and a
  dangerous place is from 150m to 300m on roads,
  where the speed limit exceeded 60km/h, but to
  100m on other roads.
