Physical Inventory Process

• Initialize EPICS inventory data
• Print Physical Inventory checklist reports
• Collect inventory data
• Use checklists for manual inventory
• Use wireless scanners for automated inventory
• Mark or scan all racks and bundles found during
  physical inventory
• Locate missing racks and bundles
• Create found racks and bundles
• Repeat steps 2-4 as required

Handling Found Material

• Racks or tickets found during inventory can be
  quickly created using existing EPICS screens
• Create found racks with Maintain Racks
• Create found tickets with Print New Tickets

Handling Lost Material

• Racks or tickets not found during a physical
  inventory can be removed using existing EPICS
  screens
• Delete missing racks with Maintain Racks
• Void missing tickets with Maintain Tickets

• But we dont use rack tracking in EPICS. Can we
  still use the new Physical Inventory features?
• Maintain Racks screen can be used to build your
  work-in-process inventory
• Your next Physical Inventory is a great time to
  begin using rack tracking in EPICS
• Otherwise, rack data can be deleted after your
  inventory is complete
