Prepositional Phrases

• Consists of a preposition and its object.
• The object of a preposition is the noun or
  pronoun that follows a preposition. (Every
  preposition has an object).
• Examples
• Many early jazz bands played in New Orleans.
• The sounds came from a radio.
• During the 1920s, jazz swept the country.
