• Washington Elementary has an enrollment of
  approximately 500 students in K-5. We have
  embraced Study Island in all available subjects
  as a multi-faceted classroom learning tool. A
  mobile lab of 25 wireless computers was obtained
  for the sole purpose of a portable Study Island
  on Wheels. Students use Study Island before
  school, during school, and after school.

• Students arrive on the Washington Elementary
  School Study Island one hour prior to the opening
  of the school day. Our cruise director, a.k.a.
  5th Grade teacher Miss Rabel, greets the study
  islanders and leads them to their Study Island
  posts.

• Hurry up, Skipper! Its never too late.
• Study Island classes led by Captain Fasline,
  a.k.a. Intervention Teacher, continue throughout
  the school day. Captain Fasline carts his mobile
  Study Island computers to classrooms for a Study
  Island period.

Fashion conscious islanders, listen up!

• Tuesdays at Washington Elementary School are
  Study Island beach days. So get out your
  beach attire, mon, put on your shades, and flaunt
  your Study Island spirit. Island attire creates
  a motivating environment conducive to academic
  achievement.

• Treasure chests of knowledge and adventure
  are found in each and every classroom. Crew
  members, a.k.a. classroom teachers, oversee Study
  Island activities daily to enhance curricular
  goals.

• Washington Elementary was the first in our
  school district to make the maiden voyage to
  Study Island. Others in our district have since
  made the journey to find their own academic
  rewards.

• Pirates, a.k.a. neighboring school districts,
  have visited our Study Island. They, too, are
  now hooked!

• Since our Study Island visit, we are proud to
  claim that we have achieved the Effective
  designation on our Ohio Report Card.

• No school is an island when students visit Study
  Island.
