Assignments
Accessing AssignmentsClick on the Assignments
link in the Course Menu to access all course
assignments.
Turnitin AssignmentsYou will notice from the
assignment icon, that this assignment is a
Turnitin Assignment. Click on the View /
Complete link to be taken to the Turnitin website
to complete submit your assignment.
Turnitin Assignment Links InformationThe
Title of the Assignment will appear in blue, and
you can view additional information about the
assignment by clicking on the link. The dates
below the assignment name refer to the Start and
Due dates for the assignment. The green date
represents when the assignment opens ie. when you
can start submitting, the red date indicates when
the assignment is Due ie. after this date you
will no longer be able to submit.
Submitting AssignmentsClick on the Submit icon
to begin the submission process. Turnitin accepts
file types MS Word, pdf, html, text,
postscript. Files submitted to Turnitin have a
size limit of 10MG and a character limit of
1,000,000 characters.

Submission MethodThis should always be
defaulted to file upload. There is another
option, cut and paste, which allows you to copy
and paste your assignment text into a Turnitin
text box, however this method is not widely used.
Submitting AssignmentsClick the Submit button
to send your assignment to your Instructor.
Submission InformationYour first and last names
should appear as default, and you will need to
give your submission a title, or your instructor
may have given you a title to use.
Submission FileClick the Browse button to
search for your assignment file on your local
machine.
Note Turnitin only accepts files of certain
formats, make sure that your assignment is in one
of these formats.

Submitting or CancellingIf the paper is the
correct one you wish the submit, click the Yes,
Submit button, if not, click the no, go back link
to be taken to the previous submission screen to
reattach another document.
Submission PaperTurnitin will display your
paper so that you can review it one last time
before submission, to make sure that it is the
exact report your wish to submit for grading.
Submission ReceiptTurnitin will give you a
submission receipt noting the paper title, author
and will give you a unique ID number for your
paper.
