The Vikings first arrived in Britain in ad796.
The first place they sacked (raided) was a tiny
island called Lindisfarne, which is just off the
north, east coast. Why did they come to Britain?
what did they do while they were here? how did
they get here? All these questions will be
answered in this power point!

Norway Sweden and Denmark are were the Vikings
came from.
The Vikings moved to get more land to farm.

So the Vikings were in Britain.
They started to attack Lindisfarne.
Most of the monks died but the ones still alive
were taking as slaves.
