Borough of State College Projects
State College and Penn State worked jointly to
plan and manage a United Way Day of Caring
project to beautify the entrance to State College
and campus. This years project involved the
planting of nearly seven thousand daffodil bulbs
surrounding the State College Welcome Sign at the
University Drive/College Avenue cloverleaf.
Borough wants to provide wireless access across
town. Probably done as early as next year.
Westerly Parkway Storm Sewer Project. Contractor
has continued installing storm sewer pipe and
currently near the Sparks Street intersection.
Contractor will continue to install pipe and
inlets and will work to the west.
Gill Street (College Ave to Foster Ave). Fraser
Street (Nittany Ave to Fairmount Ave). Contract
Amount 415,325.00 June 19th September 25th
2006.
