10SKILLS A CROSS-CUTTING ISSUE
- A skills scoping study across Yorkshire Gold
was commissioned by the LSC and undertaken by Sky
Blue Research - The outcome a Skills Task Group, chaired by
the RSP, managed through the LSC, reporting back
to the Yorkshire Committee for the 2012 Games - Work in progress Terms of Reference and draft
Framework for Action for Skills, Employment and
Education
11National Skills Academy regional hub
- 1st phase of establishing the National Skills
Academy Yorkshire and Humber is one of 3
regions - Sheffield United Football Club and a series of
Centres of Excellence are addressing coaching,
management and leadership, customer care,
marketing and communications - Skills Active (industry lead body) are holding
a series of workshops on how employers and
providers come together to meet the skills needs
of the sport and active leisure sector. Colleges
and the FE Sector are invited to attend - 15th October , Sheffield
- 22nd October, Leeds
