Hi, my name is Karen and welcome to Star
Entertainment Group, I am the managing partner
at SEG. Throughout my 20 year career I have
worked in the Medical field, Biological
scientific research, design and
architecture, Internet commerce, promotions,
marketing, advertising and small business. While
attending college and thereafter, I maintained
various careers in the corporate world as an
Editorial assistant, retouching specialist, and
finally a promotions director with a design and
promotion studio, while providing freelance
services for a variety of clients. In September
1998, with a combination of my promotion and
graphics expertise, I officially opened MD Firm.
A full service graphic design, marketing and
promotion studio that made ideas reality.
During this time, MD Firm landed me in the mix
with some great musicians. Working with such
great artists, my skills began to change and
become more centered around music, which I have
always enjoyed .

We at Star Entertainment Group LLC believe in the
artists that we promote and manage. To help make
their dreams come true. WhiskeyStock Music Fest
is an event that is designed to promote local and
regional artists to fans and the industry that
will give them exposure to a much broader fan
base than your local club scene. WhiskeyStock
Music Fest is also donating a portion of the
profits to local and national childrens
charities to help find cures and provide
benefits to those less fortunate. We believe in
these charities and have been personally
donating to them for over 14 years. By putting
on a Music Festival that will generate public
awareness to these artists, we believe we can
accomplish that. We feel that bringing in
National Headliners like Axe, Doug Hollister,
Smokey Lonesome, The Winters Brothers, as well
as up and coming artists such as Swampdawamp,
McKenzies Mill, and Marthia Sides to name a few,
we can expose the fans of these artists to the
local and regional talent as well as the industry
AR personnel. By giving them this kind of
exposure, maybe we can even get some of these
artists a recording contract to accomplish their
dreams. So as you see, our goals here at Star
Entertainment Group LLC are to help others help
themselves to achieve the ultimate goal and even
have a little fun along the way.
