IEC SC3D --- data sets for library

• Renovating IEC 61360 Component Data Dictionary
  for accommodating IEC 61987 dictionaries of IEC
  SC65E
• New DB infrastructure being implemented by IEC CO
• Subset of ISO13584-35 will be used as the first
  upload/download format for IEC CDD, being
  implemented
• IEC 61360-1 is now FDIS, defining the
  requirements for class and property definitions
• What must go into DEFINITION, what must go into
  NOTE
• IEC 61360-2 ( IEC version of PLIB Part42) FDIS
  vote to be started around September 2009
• Existing content of IEC61360-4 being rewritten
  with new definition rules
• Extension of ISO13584-35 for higher and more
  flexible meta modeling capacity with speadsheets
  is being planned as an NP

• Cooperation with IEC TC111--- Environmental
  standardization for electrical and electronic
  products and systems
• TC111/WG1 is circulating second CD for IEC
  62474 Material Declaration for Products of and
  for the Electrotechnical Industry
• Making the metadata translatable uploadable to
  IEC 61360 CDD
• Use MD metadata being intermixed with product
  properties defined according to IEC
  61360/ISO13584 in respective domain product
  dictionaries
• ID Interoperability with ISO 29002-5 will be
  advantageous for all the groups of SC4

• Efforts of industrial consortia to make a
  harmonized standard dictionary in the domain of
  electric electronic components and parts
  started between eClass and ECALS/JEITA
• Objective enrich IEC 61360 CDD, with eClass
  classification with a wide and well-maintained
  properties (approx. 1700 of 3800) of ECALS/JEITA
  dictionary
• ECALS/JEITA dictionary is well harmonized with
  KEA dictionary of KEA(Korea)
• Expected to propose an update for IEC 61360
  around 2010 by JEITA-eClass, as joint effort

IEC SC65E--- Devices and integration in
enterprise systems

• Close collaboration between IEC SC65E and SC3D
• Dictionary on plant devices as IEC 61987-11(at
  the stage of FDIS vote) is being prepared for
  upload onto IEC 61360 CDD
• IEC61987 dictionary requires some extension of
  IEC CDD, that was implemented as subset of
  IEC61987/ISO13584 database
• Dr. Peter Zgorzelski (DE) is assigned as convener
  of MT3 in SC3D for maintenance of SC65E data

  enabling unambiguous information interchange
  Part 1 Principles and methods is circulated for
  CD vote
• Scope
• Specifications of basic requirements for
  identifiers
• Including human readable presentation of
  identifiers
• requirements for the application of identifiers
  in a computer sensible form
• requirements for their interchange
• Concern
• May interfere or conflict with the requirements
  defined in existing ID schemes
• May include mis-analyses of the ID schemes
• E.g., UUID(GUID) is described as a centrally
  managed coding scheme just with a decentralised
  generation of codes
