Salinas Dam

• Prior to transfer, DSOD will conduct Dam Safety
  Assessment.
• Corps wants to transfer existing dam in
  certifiable condition.
• Environmental Assessment will be required, but
  probably not an EIS.
• Federal property disposal (transfer of dam and
  reservoir land) must be routed through Congress.
• Outcome of the hearing by the State Water Control
  Board in response to issues brought by California
  Sportfishing Protection Alliance is out.
• State Water Control Board has given time
  extension (10 years) to the County to address the
  issues.
