Annual SSID Maintenance
  • Annual SSID Maintenance is required each year to
    maintain the integrity of the identifiers
  • Annual maintenance is used to collect official
    school enrollment
  • Data for State Reporting LEAs is harvested from
    their Fall submission

Annual SSID Maintenance
  • Submission window is October 4-November 16
  • Report data on
  • all currently enrolled students and
  • all exited students for whom the exit date and
    exit reason have not yet been submitted
  • Certify the accuracy by November 16

Best Practices Cohort
  • All SSID-only LEAs are eligible
  • Purpose is to improve local data management
    capacity and capabilities
  • Participation is voluntary
  • Incentive funding is approximately 8.51/student
  • CSIS will announce the project late November

Best Practices Cohort Deliverables
  • To receive funding, eligible LEAs must
  • Complete a series of best practices professional
    development sessions
  • Implement a CSIS-capable student information
    system or use Extended Client
  • Submit the Annual SSID Maintenance within the
    required window and complete anomaly resolution
  • Utilize CSIS STAR Pre-ID data cleansing services
    and/or complete a Periodic Enrollment Update
  • Complete academic records transfer submissions
