RPLS Web2 Committee

• Received training from DRA in customizing the
  Web2 catalog.
• Discussed how best to implement the new catalog.
• Decided against having each library customize its
  own catalog.

Problems with Full Customizing

• Long learning curve
• Difficult material
• Server restarts needed for changes
• Vastly increased numbers of files on server
• Additional maintenance and trouble-shooting time
  required

Setting Up Web2 in Your Library

• Choose which interface you want to use and return
  the form to RPLS.
• Add catalog link to your web page.
• Rolling Prairie will send you the URL (web
  address) to use.

Libraries without Web Pages

• Choose Web2 interface.
• On each computer that will provide access to the
  Web2 catalog
• Load file provided by RPLS to the hard drive.
• Set home page for your browser to that file name.
  EX file// C\LocalPage.htm (Instructions will
  be provided.)
