• Technology used in the classroom to get instant
  feedback from students
• Allows individual responses by students to be
  collected, scored and tabulated instantly (for
  instructor) but anonymously (for student)

• Classroom Performance System
• Can be used separately or embedded in Power Point
  in your lecture
• Can be linked to Blackboard or other online
  classroom management systems
• Requires adoption through your bookstore for CPS

Good for the student

• Student responses are ANONYMOUS
• Reduces fear of answering in class
• Everyone can participate, not just the talky
  ones
• Instant feedback for each of them personally

• Body fat is often measured using the BMI scale
• This is a ratio of your height to weight
• It is used for life insurance policies,
  estimating health risks as well as labeling
  people as at a healthy weight, over-weight or
  obese

Good for the instructor

• Measures general knowledge (low level questions)
• Generates good distracters
• Using data of most missed questions and which
  answer was selected incorrectly most often, can
  help generate better questions later
• Indicates immediately where students need more
  instruction or explanation
• Can be used to stimulate discussion between
  students
• Ask question, discuss, ask again

• Students get hard copy of test
• Instructor puts in answers after writing test
• Students input answers via the responders
• System collects and corrects the data
• Instructor generates report and records grades
