Linking

• The link between musical data (audio files) and
  metadata should be realized via AudioID
  fingerprints (rather than via cryptographical
  hashes)
• Desire search for metadata using AudioID
  fingerprints as search parameter, e.g. Search
  for dctitle of the audio file having the AudioID
  fingerprint XYZ
• TODO evaluate if the JXTA advertisement
  mechanism can be used for this, (evaluate
  alternative mechanisms)
• Provide feedback to WP partners

Specification Basic Concept

• every file to be shared needs a digitally signed
  (sharing) license
• the application (e.g. authoring software) which
  produces the files also creates and signs the
  license file (using the license generator
  component provided by FhG)
• The P2P sharing client verifies (twice) the
  licenses using the license validator, files w/o
  a valid license will not be shared
• the sharing/searching of data and metadata is
  realized via JXTA advertisements (core JXTA
  objects that are used to advertise contents,
  peers, peer groups etc.)
• Adv. include all search information which is
  needed to find a file in the P2P system
