Do Now! Math 9-1

• Read the Example at the bottom of page 12 in your
  textbook. (Take special note of the formula
  given about falling objects).
• I propose that we could use this formula to
  calculate the height of a kicked ball using only
  a stop watch. Further, with some modifications
  we could also adapt the formula to calculate the
  initial speed that the ball was kicked.
• Come up with a plan to do what I proposed above.
  Be sure to be able to fully explain how and why
  your plan works.

• Be sure to have this table complete from last
  day.
• Answer the questions 1-4 on p. 12.

• Be ready to go outside with the handout and a pen
  only.
• The faster were ready to go, the more time we
  can work.
