HEX TERRAIN WORK
  • a. All roads in Area of Operation including
    their categorization into good, fair and bad
    roads.
  • b. Rail network.
  • c. Large canals essential for ops.
  • d. Major built up areas down to town level.
  • e. Air infrastructure incl air bases.
  • f. Port infrastructure.
  • g. Fine tuning of mountains into low,medium and
    high mountains.
  • h. Imp bridges and tunnels.
  • j. Pipelines.
  • k. Classification of rivers and their portions
    into navigable and non navigable ones.
  • l. Lakes and other barriers.
  • m. Artificial obstacles ,sand berms.mine fields.

DATA BASE AND TERRAIN DEVELOPMENT
  • Preliminary stage, Data base and terrain
    development will take approx 5 more months before
    first test run of a war game can be conducted.
  • Use of open source (Google Earth)
  • Digital maps
  • Use of Geo Rectified Satellite Imagery
  • Development of a software, where you dont have
    to essentially use TMU.

  • Artillery Fire (hex to hex), high trajectory not
    addressed
  • Artillery Deployment challenges cannot be
    realistically modeled.

  • Value of Prepared defences(modelling parameters)
  • Strategic and Operational summary (at least every
    24hrs)
  • Indigenization of data base (specially logistics)
  • New weapon systems
