Introduction
  • The City of Cascais and the Clube Naval de
    Cascais capacity to host and organize major
    international sailing events was recognized
    worldwide after the success of the organization
    of the ISAF Sailing World Championships 2007.
  • The Portuguese Candidacy to host the 2007
    Americas Cup was considered one of the best.
  • Clube Naval de Cascais has organized no less than
    30 World, European and Continental Championships
    in International and Olympic Classes.
  • Sailing, along with Golf, is one of the two major
    axis of Cascais tourism promotion.
