    for electronic communications was established in
    1999
  • In 2005 implementation of the first phase of the
    new regulatory framework for telecommunications
    sector in Georgia was completed
  • The new law on Electronic Communications was
    adopted in 2005 that is in compliance with EU
    regulatory framework and lays basis for new
    regulatory trends where the focus is on creating
    a regime reflecting the current state of
    competition, establishing a playing field for all
    operators and taking into account developing
    markets and technological evolution and
    neutrality.
