  • Cadets should be participating in PT, at the very
    least, twice a month at CAP meetings.
  • NCOs need to stress that a habit of regular,
    consistent exercise 2-3 times a week for 30 or
    more minutes is the level cadets need to be
    exercising at.

  • Run the CPFT. Cadets will not be familiar with
    it, so walk through each event with them before
    administering the test. NCOs will need to
    demonstrate PROPER and CORRECT form for each
    event.
  • Have them pair up before beginning the walk
    through so that you dont waste time while
    everyone chooses partners for the push-up and the
    sit and reach.

  • Cadets should run the mile. We can measure it in
    the parking lot and they can run laps.
  • If it is the winter, and impossible to the run
    the mile, then dont. But dont make excuses
    during the summer.

  • If it is nice out, then time should be spent on
    an activity like flag football, capture the flag,
    ultimate Frisbee, or volleyball.
