Extra Information
  • On our route we will be stopping off at the
places on the map on the previous slide, as well
as possibly other extra places to walk around,
eat or just re-fuel. You may need to find out
about some of the places we are going in more
detail. If this is the case then please ask any
of assistants here and they will be more than
    happy to reply.
  • The coach journey will be done at night but if
you have a problem with that, then we have
another tour that takes in exactly the same
sites, just longer, and with a place to stay such
    as a hotel.
  • For every place we have an organised tour or
specific tours we recommend but you can if you
want to explore the place for yourself.

London The Tour
  • London is the capital of England. It is where a
few of the important people live and work. There
are a lot of important buildings and monuments
and there is so much to do and see. On the
previous slide there is a picture of Trafalgar
Square it is one of the most important and well
known monuments in England. Also in London there
is Big Ben, the famous clock, the houses of
Parliament. There are also a lot of art
galleries and museums to pick from. In our tour
we just basically have a look around if you wish
you can go off on your own and explore London for
your self but we will take in most of the tourist
    attractions on our tour.

  • The Isle of Wight has great beaches, lots of
lovely country side and big towns all in one
    Island.

Isle of Wight The Tour
  • The Isle of Wight has so much to offer and its
all in the same place. On the previous slide
there is a picture of the Isle of Wight. In our
tour we take in some of the famous natural and
man made sites like the Needles, the rocks that
have been shaped naturally by the sea to look
    like sewing needles.
  • The Isle of Wight is also quite famous for its
coloured sand. This sand comes in all sorts of
different colours, from orange to green. The Isle
of Wight is one of England's few island and is
just south of Dorset. In our tour we take in one
of the best dinosaur museums in England, have a
look at the famous Needles and sand and we just
get a general feel of what life is like on an
    English island.

Dorset The Tour
  • We do not have a particular tour for Dorset
although there are a lot of good tours that we
have depending on what your tastes are, for
example, if you like walking we have a number of
different tours and walks that we recommend.
Dorset is also quite famous for its fossils like
the isle of Wight and also fossil collectors for
example Mary Anning who is famous for her
discovery of prehistoric reptile fossils. There
is a picture of her on the previous slide. If
you feel like following in Mary Annings footsteps
we have a fossil walk as well.

It has its own flag and used to have its own
    language.

which you can even surf on.
  • Another thing Cornwall is famous for is its Ice
    Cream.
  • Cornwall does not have many big cities.

Cornwall The Tour
  • In Cornwall there are lots of attractions but we
are going to one of them in particular. It is
called the Eden Project and it was completed at
about the same time as the 2000 millennium and is
quite a spectacle. There is a picture of it on
the previous slide. It is basically a collection
of huge domes with plants inside them, but
because the domes are specially designed they can
house tropical plants as well as normal English
ones. The Eden project also have a shop were you
can buy beautiful plants for sale. This is the
only thing we really do in Cornwall because there
is so much to do but of course if you wish like
all the other tours you can go elsewhere and
    explore for yourself.

Bristol The Tour
  • Bristol, being one of the biggest cities in
England, has a lot of attractions and sights to
see. The tour is just to give you a taster of
another of Britain's main cities. Bristol The
tour includes a visit to the old port. This port
is not still in use as a commercial port, it only
takes pleasure crafts. Another thing we do in
Bristol is have a look at the great suspension
bridge. This bridge was designed by Isambard
Kingdom Brunel, a famous Victorian engineer.
This bridge is quite a spectacular sight
stretching over the road there is a picture of it
on the previous slide. We will also go into the
town and just generally have a good look around.

The Peak District The Place
  • The Peak District is a beautiful block of land
    in the north of England.
  • It is a national park which means that it is
protected by law and is protected from
    development, for example building.
  • The Peak District is quite a rocky and hilly
    place.

17
The Peak District The Tour
  • The Peak District is a great example of English
country-side and we have a few walks for you to
choose from depending on your tastes. We have
water walks, forest walks, hilly walks, rock and
mountainous walks and we also have a chance for
you to do rock climbing if you want to. This
part of England is sometimes quite cold although
of course it depends on the season. The Peak
District is a particularly beautiful part of
England with outstanding views and varied
terrain. This tour is probably the most scenic
and spectacular of the whole trip.

castle at Warwick which is on of the main
    features of the trip.
  • As well as going to the castle we will take a
    trip around the town.

Warwick The Tour
  • Warwick castle is on a small hill in Warwick,
there is a picture of it on the previous slide.
Warwick castle is a great example of English
history with parts of it going back to William
the Conqueror and the battle of Hastings. It has
all the kind of things that are fun for all the
family for example it has all sorts of different
rooms that you can go into and see what life was
like in medieval England. There are also
dungeons, special exhibitions and a haunted
tower. Warwick castle also has some other
attractions and is educational without being
