• North American Theatre Online includes extensive
  indexing that lets you pinpoint characters by
  various qualities
• Also includes production information about most
  contemporary plays
• Complete text of some plays is included, but not
  all

One option is to do a character search this
tells you about characters, but you may still
need to find a copy of the play in the library to
look for monologues.

certain age, nationality, race or occupation, but
it will not identify specific monologues.

Searching the full text of plays

• NATO includes the full text of about 3000 plays,
  1714-2005
• Full text plays are not always current, best
  known or popular plays
• Separate searches also available for
  subcollections Asian American Drama, Black
  Drama, Latino Literature, North American Womens
  Drama, 20th Century North American Drama
