  • My great grandmother came to Delburne, Alberta
    from Kansas just before the turn of the century.
  • Although my family has settled throughout the
    province, we still call Delburne our home.

  • Family
  • I was born in Calgary, Alberta on Aug. 17, 1977.
  • My mother and I led a solitary existence for over
    14 years.
  • On February 16, 1992 my younger sister Marquessa
    was born.

PASSIONS
  • History
  • I received my BA in Ancient and Medieval History
    from the University of Calgary.
  • I continue to carry out research on medieval
    Welsh society and culture.

  • Music
  • I listen to and play early and Celtic music.
  • I now sing in the St. Johns College choir and
    jam with other members of the college.
  • Check out our coffee house performance Nov. 25,
    2000.

  • Community
  • At the University of Calgary, I worked with the
    Students Union and as a member of the U of C
    Senate.

  • I also co-founded an Amnesty International club.

  • The Library
  • From 1998-2000, I was an employee of the
    University of Calgary Library in Access Services.
  • As a student representative, I aided in the
    establishment of a student-managed library
    endowment scheme, which has donated over 600,000
    for undergraduate collections at the University
    of Calgary.

ASPIRATIONS
  • Career
  • I hope to return to an academic library
    environment as a subject- specialist, reference
    librarian.
  • I plan to focus on the needs of undergraduates in
    collections and education.

  • Writing
  • I have an interest in producing popular
    historical fiction and non-fiction.
  • Some of my areas of study include the early
    rulers of Wales and Isabella of France, wife of
    Edward II.

  • Travel
  • Throughout my life, I hope to travel to the
    United Kingdom and Ireland to conduct research
    for my writing.

  • A Return to My Roots
  • Above all, I hope to return to Alberta and begin
    a family of my own.
