Policy 10 Interconnected Operation

This change has been approved by the Security
Committee for interim implementation. The Board
is not requested to approve this change for now.
It will be posted for public comment as part of
other changes to Policy 1 planned for 2000.

Note Only changes are in Section F.
Only section F is being revised. Most of these
changes set new Requirements for reporting
Inadvertent Interchange balances and dispute
resolution. This is in response to difficulties
during the past few years in balancing the
Eastern and Western Interconnection Inadvertent
balances each month.

reporting requirements and provide method for
resolving inadvertent balance disputes. These
disputes have contributed to the Eastern and
Western Interconnection inadvertent balance
reconciliation delays.

The details of how to do this were moved to
the Compliance Template. Removed items that were
simply definitions or administrative matters
covered in other documents, such as the
Compliance Template and Certification
Bulletin. Removed all references to system
personnel. This Policy is focused on system
operators.
