the PowerPoint window - PowerPoint has different views that allow you to
see your presentation in different forms - By default, the PowerPoint window opens in Normal
view - Use Normal view to write, edit, and design a

- The task pane consists of 16 individual task
panes - Each task pane contains commonly used commands
- For example, slide layout, slide design, and
slide animation - Some task panes contain links to the Web

- Create a presentation quickly using an
AutoContent Wizard - This wizard guides you through the process of
creating a (sample) presentation - Choose the presentation type, output type, and
footer and header information - Creates a presentation with sample text

- Name and save a presentation
- To store a presentation file, give the
presentation a filename - Determine where you want the file to be stored
- Floppy disk, hard disk, network disk drive
- Save about every 10-15 minutes
- Use the Save As command to save a copy of a
presentation with a different name
